NB Magazine Book Blogger's Prize 2021 Shortlist

The Writing Greyhound Book Blogger's Prize Shortlist

NB Magazine is a quarterly literary magazine here in the UK. They also run an annual Blogger's Book Prize where shortlisted bloggers get the chance to champion their favourite book of the last year.

When I saw Amanda from Bookish Chat (last year's winner) sharing the details of this year's competition, I knew I had to get my entry in!

...and guess what? My submission got shortlisted!

If you've been reading my blog over the last year, it probably won't have escaped your notice that I'm a big fan of The Animals at Lockwood Manor by Jane Healey. I loved the book when I first read it and it ended up being one of my top 5 books of 2020.

Unsurprisingly, then, there was only ever going to be one book I could champion - meet Team Lockwood!

If you haven't read the book yet (despite my constant reminders of how great it is!), The Animals at Lockwood Manor is a gorgeous, atmospheric novel combining the best of classic Gothic literature with a more contemporary-style romance.

I'm absolutely thrilled to have been shortlisted - when I submitted my entry, I never dreamed that I would be fortunate enough to be one of the six chosen bloggers. I'm in great company, too, alongside five brilliant bloggers who I admire greatly.

The winner of the prize will be selected by combining votes from a panel made up of last year's shortlisted bloggers, with the results from a public vote.

If you enjoy reading my reviews and keeping up with my blog, or you've read Lockwood and you love it as much as I do, I would be very grateful - and humbled - to receive your vote.

You can find out more about all the shortlisted bloggers and their championed books with NB Magazine.
